Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Cazimi:

  • Birth data: Name, date of birth, time of birth, and location, provided by you for report generation.
  • Email address: For report delivery and optional communications.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card details.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically for analytics and rate limiting.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate and deliver your astrology report.
  • To process payments via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (report delivery, receipts).
  • To send optional marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To improve our services and prevent abuse.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe: For payment processing.
  • Resend: For email delivery.
  • AI providers: Birth data is sent to generate reports; no personal identifiers beyond the name you provide are shared.

4. Data Retention

Generated reports are stored temporarily for delivery purposes and may be deleted after 30 days. Email addresses are retained for communication until you unsubscribe. Payment records are retained as required by law.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

6. Cookies

Cazimi uses minimal cookies for essential functionality only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Anti-fraud Signals

To prevent abuse of our free trial (such as a single person creating multiple accounts to bypass usage limits), the chat product collects two anti-fraud signals when you sign in:

  • A hash of your birth chart identifiers: the combination of your birth date, time, and resolved coordinates is hashed (SHA-256) and stored. The hash is not reversible and is used only to detect duplicate trial accounts for the same chart.
  • A browser fingerprint: a unique identifier derived from your browser's characteristics (provided by the FingerprintJS Open Source library). This identifier is used solely to detect fraud attempts.

These signals are NOT used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting our service (LGPD Art. 7, IX; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can request their deletion at any time via the contact channel below; this may result in your trial allowance being reset for the next chart you analyze.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure payment processing via Stripe, and access controls on our servers.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Children's Chart report requires a parent or guardian to provide the child's data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
